Hockey always been some kind of stumper for me. While my lover and all of my male (and some female) friends love it to the bone, I can’t think anything but how boring it is to watch.
But! If there is one thing I love about hockey, is all the rituals and the social side that surrounds the sport. Most of all the get-togethers in a crappy tavern.
Last week, a bunch of friends and I went to watch the match at Bistro 1815, a hidden and dirty gem in Rosemont (or is it in the Plateau?). We were drinking cheap beer and chat about anything, when I realized I had my notebook with me. I started sketching what I was looking at, and I figured out how fun it was to draw hockey players.
My sketches then led me to draw these illustrations.
I had such a wild fun to portray these big giants.
